Chiropractic Services

Our chiropractic services in Roseland include six kinds of care that can work alone or together in one plan. Dr. Jenna Patel, D.C., evaluates you first. Then she explains which options may fit your case and why. Below is a short overview of each service, with a link to learn more.

Our chiropractic services at a glance

Dr. Patel blends hands-on adjustments, soft tissue work, exercise rehab, and nutrition and lifestyle guidance. She looks for the source of the problem, not only the symptoms. Here is what each service involves.

Chiropractic care

Chiropractic care is the core of what we do. Dr. Patel uses hands-on adjustments for the spine and joints, along with soft tissue work. This care may help with back pain, neck pain, headaches and joint pain. If you are new to it, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health offers a plain overview.

Progressive Rehab® and functional exercise

Progressive Rehab® and functional exercise uses guided exercises that may help you build strength, balance and control. Dr. Patel has extra training in sports injury rehab and movement analysis. That is why she checks how you move before she picks your exercises.

Laser therapy

We offer Class IV laser therapy, which aims focused light at sore muscles and joints. It may help ease pain and stiffness in the treated area. Dr. Patel has extra training in this care and checks first whether it suits your condition.

Spinal decompression

Spinal decompression is a type of traction that slowly stretches the spine. For some people with back pain, sciatica or bulging discs, it may help ease symptoms. However, it is not right for everyone, so Dr. Patel evaluates you before she suggests it.

Sleep optimization

A stiff neck or sore back can make it hard to rest well. With sleep optimization, Dr. Patel can talk with you about your sleep habits and positions as part of your care. After that, she suggests simple changes that may help you rest better.

Nutritional counseling

Dr. Patel holds an M.S. in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences. In nutritional counseling, she gives practical food and lifestyle guidance. That way, the changes you make at home can support the care you get in our office.

Other services you can ask about

We also offer kinesiology taping and orthotic care. In addition, we take X-rays on site at our Roseland office when they are clinically needed.

How our chiropractic services work together

A care plan can combine two or more of our chiropractic services. For example, a plan for low back pain could pair adjustments with functional exercise. A plan for a sore knee might pair rehab with laser therapy, if Dr. Patel finds it suits you.

Every plan starts at your first chiropractic visit. You fill out a health history form, talk with Dr. Patel and have a physical exam of your posture, mobility and pain. We take X-rays only if they are clinically needed. Then Dr. Patel explains her findings and your personalized care plan before any care starts.

You will know why each service is in your plan, and you are free to ask questions before you decide. We accept most major insurance plans, so call us at (973) 200-2424 to verify yours. Financing is also available through Cherry and CareCredit, and our insurance and financing page has the details.

Which chiropractic services fit your condition?

We see people with sciatica, back and neck pain, headaches and migraines, and sports, work and auto injuries. In addition, we see shoulder and arm pain, carpal tunnel, hip and knee pain, and foot and ankle pain. To read more, browse the conditions we treat. This page is educational, not a diagnosis, so Dr. Patel evaluates each case before she recommends care.
